New research from Reed employment has revealed the extent to which Graduate jobseekers have come to rely on the internet when looking for a job...
From a sample of 400 candidates only 3% said they regularly check newspaper job sections , while 89% claimed they only ever searched for jobs online.
It's hardly surprising, with the immense popularity of sites like Youtube and Facebook, and the significant increase in online recruitment advertising over the last 5 years, that a generation that has embraced both shopping & socialising online will look to the same environment when they come to search for a job.
The message to graduate recruiters is clear - start looking online for the talent you're seeking or they'll be picked up by someone else.
