About Advert Creation and Posting
<back to FAQ
Where do you advertise?
  • All of our vacancies are advertised on all the major UK job boards. This includes Monster, Jobsite, Fish4Jobs, TotalJobs etc. It is impossible to list every single job board that carries our adverts, this is because most of the major boards listed above have a network of other job boards that they also syndicate relevant jobs to.

In addition to these, we have a vast range of specialist boards that help us to source those harder to reach candidates in more niche job sectors.

How long do you advertise for?
  • We typically look to work on a client's vacancy for four weeks, advertising for the entire period.

How do you know where to advertise?
  • We have 10 years experience of advertising online, all that experience is put to use when reviewing which online media we'll use to source relevant candidates for our clients. We currently receive 15,000+ applicants per month. All of that response is measured and the origin of each candidate is recorded. This means we can track and record both our success and which job boards or databases helped us to deliver this.

We also pay attention to research like the NORAS survey, an annual report that provides an interesting insight into the UK job board audience.

Can you put our company logo on your adverts?
  • No. If you want to have a "fully branded" advert then we suggest you talk directly to some of the job board partners we work with. We don't place clients' adverts for them, we place our adverts to help recruit relevant staff for our clients' vacancies. This is similar to how a traditional agency would work, due to the nature of our flat fee model however, there are some big differences in the adverts we produce.

How do your adverts differ from those of a traditional recruitment agency?
  • Unlike traditional agencies following a “placement fee” model, we're not preoccupied with ensuring other agencies don’t find out which of our clients is recruiting. This means we are able to list who our clients are on our adverts and means that candidates can be kept fully aware of which company they are applying to join.

We can also be specific about the location and provide a detailed overview of the organisation and what the role involves. All of this means we are likely to receive a larger and more relevant response.

Are you able to run adverts that don't mention which company you're recruiting for?
  • Yes.

How do you go about constructing an advert?
  • Firstly, we find out as much information as possible. Some of the job specs we get sent are just that, job specifications. The information they hold is used to help tell the applicant about the nature of the role. However, we like to place a heavy emphasis on getting to know our clients and understand how they attract and retain staff. Then most importantly we make sure we communicate that to all applicants. We also detail the potentially negative aspects of the role, to ensure as best as is possible that all applicants who apply understand what the role will ask of them.
